I wish that I could say “This is the latest contribution that Nomi Tang has brought to the bedroom.” But I would be incorrect! This brand is really hitting the ground running. Not too long ago everyone was woo-ed by the Better Than Chocolate vibrator. Next, we have here, the Getaway! And after this one, I hope to talk about the marriage of two loves – Nomi Tang and OhMiBod. Music-activated Nomi-Tang-ness.
You’ve heard my review on the Better Than Chocolate vibe and you may or may not remember their key feature. Let me remind you – it’s their interface. I’ve never seen anything like it and here we are again, Nomi Tang has given it back to us and we have the awesome directional use once again! By this, the “directional use”, I mean to talk about how you activate a vibrator or change settings during use. With the BTC (better than chocolate), the tip of your forefinger would stroke the touch panel in a downward motion to bring on more vibrations and power. That worked perfectly for the BTC because of the angle in which you hold the clitoral stimulator. The Getaway is a different story. When you have the vibe inside of you and you feel the need for speed…all you have to do is reach down and stroke upward with your thumb. (I say “upward”, presuming that the vibrator will be inserted vaginally and at a slight upward angle.) Basically, the Getaway doesn’t make you stroke its control panel in any awkward ways. I appreciate this fact because some of the integrated control panels may look nice, play neatly, but also hinder the actual function.
Nomi Tang had it all planned out when they made this toy. The Getaway is waterproof – instant bonus points! The toy is long and sleek and super-smooth! The tip of the toy has a slightly flat, yet rounded area that curves just slightly. The length alone is something to talk about with this toy. It’s clocked at just a little over eight inches long. This thing can act as a 6” penetration toy, a wand massager and a sleek thrill ride all in one. The only drawback that I could bring up would be the fact that it isn’t a rechargeable toy. When you think about that fact, you will always need to compare it to its price. If the toy is in the $100 range, it better be good at what it does, or it better be rechargeable/waterproof. The Getaway is a mid-range toy priced just under $80. This is high in terms of many of the toys on the market, but you need to look at what you’re getting for that price. The Getaway is a waterproof, battery operated toy with a very unique control panel and a vibrational locking setting. It’s intelligent, well made and it’s a designer toy that is presented in its designer storage box.
I really enjoyed this toy and not only for its neat-o shape. I really love the idea of having a crossover toy. I use it to play with myself vaginally and the nice curve at the end hits my g-spot when I play with angles. My favorite way to play with this one is very different than my other toys. To warm up, I place the tip of the toy on my clitoris and then I slowly insert it inside and work it in gradually. By the time I’ve felt the vibrations for a while, I’m pretty wet and the toy just glides inside because of the sleek outer silicone coating. For this reason, I love to thrust very rapidly with my Getaway. Just the feeling of the shape, material and size combined – it feels great to thrust quickly.
